Orlando..

So I've been in Orlando for almost a week now recruiting at two tournaments. I spent 12 hours on a soccer field today, and will ring in the New Year sleeping....I really hope I am sleeping by then! I had Wednesday night and Thursday off, so I went to the Orlando Temple on Wednesday, then went to Kennedy Space Center yesterday. It was pretty cool...

Christmas Jars

I haven't read a "Christmas" story for a long time, but I read this one a few years ago, and it has stuck with me. It is short, it's an easy read, and it has a powerful message. When I was googling this book to find out who it is by, etc, I found an entire website dedicated to this book with stories about real life Christmas jars prepared and given away to others. If you receive a Christmas jar, you are to empty the jar and prepare it to be given to someone in need the next year...or you can start your own jar and start your own chain. I wish I had remembered this idea for 2010, maybe I will start preparing a jar for 2011. :)

Dogsitting and Surprise Christmas Tree!!!

I have been dogsitting this weekend...I was only home for one day then I came up to Heather's to watch Motley. Sara, our Athletic Trainer, is also watching her with me. Heather stocked up her fridge and cupboards with our favorite foods, and Heather also made us a chicken enchilada casserole as well as some chili...so Sara and I have been eating away while playing with Motley. We also decided that we were going to surprise Heather. Heather collects Christmas ornaments, but she doesn't have a tree!!! So Sara and I went and found a little fake tree for sale and we got a few ornaments for it to get Heather started, and we set out her two newest ornaments that she got from California last weekend to let her know that she can now finish decorating the tree with all her ornaments! Heather is in North Carolina and has NO IDEA!!! Motley was so scared...she had no idea what was going on. She is scared of the tree, she barked at the ornaments, and to get her to sit in front of it to take her picture....I think she thought something was going to jump out of the tree and bite her! It was a lot of fun and Sara and I had fun decorating a tree!!!!
